Kunos Simulazioni’s Assetto Corsa Competizione is set to gain a new track in its next update: the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
The Circuit Ricardo Tormo is coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione, it was announced today (11th April 2023).
More commonly known as Valencia (and not to be confused with the ill-fated Valencia Street Circuit), the 2.49-mile anti-clockwise track features several layouts, however, ACC will gain the Grand Prix configuration as used in the real-world Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Sprint Cup championship.
The series will head to the track this year for its eighth round on the 16th and 17th of September, with the Cheste venue also pencilled in to host the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games. The circuit has hosted Formula E, World Superbike and the DTM, providing a diverse mix of motorsport disciplines for its patrons.
Valencia has also hosted motorcycling’s premier MotoGP class since 1999, making it a mecca for Spanish bike enthusiasts, and has secured a place on the inaugural F1 Academy calendar in 2023.
With the addition of Valencia to ACC’s track lineup, we are just two circuits short of completing the real-world championship’s calendars from 2020-2023, as the Hockenheimring and Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours are still missing (the full 2019 calendar is already present in ACC under the championship’s former guise as the Blancpain GT Series).
As well as Valencia, ACC’s new update will also include three new GT3 cars; the Ferrari 296 GT3, the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) and the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2. The new content will be available for PC on the 19th of April for an undisclosed price.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are set to arrive at a later, unannounced date.
