Circuit Ricardo Tormo will reopen its doors next December 5 after the tragic floods that devastated part of the province of Valencia last October 29.
The action will return to the Grand Prix track with the German organization Bike Promotion and its clients who will be forced to access the Cheste facilities through an alternative route that avoids the main access, still pending reconstruction.
The serious damages suffered are focused on the access and parking areas and are still in the process of evaluation in order to undertake their reconstruction when possible.
The Grand Prix track has not been damaged and after the technicians have checked the safety of the facilities, it will be put back into service for the Circuit’s customers.
Three events cancelled
Since the floods, the Cheste track has been forced to cancel the most important part of its annual calendar. In addition to the Grand Prix of the Comunitat Valenciana from November 15 to 17, Circuit Ricardo Tormo has suspended the Formula E official test from November 4 to 7, and the last round of the FIM JuniorGP from November 22 to 24, as well as the filming of a movie and the motor racing practice sessions scheduled for the last week of November and the first week of December, and various activities throughout the month of December will be cancelled for maintenance work.
Likewise, the activity of the Circuit’s Specialized Sports Technification Center, which trains young drivers between the Cheste Educational Center and the Circuit facilities, will be back to work when the classes start, while the technicians are in permanent contact with the drivers to schedule their remote training sessions.
